Les Mills Combat 30: Kick Start Review

December 13, 2012 By lisa Leave a Comment

I was so excited to receive my Les Mills Combat yesterday and couldn’t wait to get started! I decided to do the Ultimate Warrior Hybrid workout for the added challenge. I had no idea what I am in for but after doing the Les Mills Combat 30: Kick Start, I got a glimpse of what to look forward to for the next 60 days!

Les Mills Combat 30: Kick Start Review

The first workout, regardless of whether you follow the Combat Warrior, Supreme, or Ultimate, is the same. I thought, well 30 minutes, how hard can it be? Was I ever in for a surprise! Do you love surprises? Then do the “Les Mills Combat 30: Kick Start!”

Les Mills Combat 30 Kick Start is High Intensity

There is not a lot of complex moves in this workout but the intensity is high and challenging. Five minutes in and I was breathless, even though I am very fit. This workout DVD mainly introduces you to the combination moves in a 30-minute non-stop routine.

With moves like uppercuts, jabs, hooks, and roundhouse kicks, your body will definitely be feeling it! There are lots of concentrated upper-body moves designed to strengthen and sculpt your arms, shoulders and upper back.

I especially loved the segment where we did like 250 kicks (or some crazy high number!)

These are no done slowly either! Imagine doing these moves fast. Now I know the reason behind the name. It kick starts your metabolic burn! That is exactly what we want, isn’t it?

There are lots of moves from boxing and karate in the Les Mills Combat 30: Kick Start routine. Controlled but fast and power-packed, I was really feeling it afterwards. Can’t wait until tomorrow!

I have no doubt that body transformation will happen over the next 60 days. You go from controlled moves to dynamic power moves and high-speed combinations. I have to get used to that. It was tough! But I loved it!
