In this Insanity Asylum 2 Pure Contact review, I will give you an honest assessment of this workout. It’s very challenging. Yes, I know it states that on the advertising but it’s seriously true! It’s a 25 minute workout and you may think that is too short but believe me, it will feel like much more! You’ll also need a jump rope and agility ladder.
Every athlete needs to be aware of how they contact the ground, whether in running, sprinting or being agile. That is exactly what’s covered in Insanity Asylum 2 Pure Contact review! Do you like jumping because there is plenty of it in this fitness program.
Should You Do Insanity Asylum 2 Pure Contact Workout?
That is a great question and I hope that by explaining some of the moves, I can help answer it for you. Shaun starts you off with a warm-up. Right? You know how his warm-ups are. You’ll be jumping rope starting with 8 basic jumps into 8 scissor jumps!
You alternate back and forth like that for about 1 minute. The most important thing is to stay controlled and then go faster once you can when you do “Insanity Asylum 2 Pure Contact“. You need to go at your own pace! Use your core when you jump to get an even better workout. Shaun encourages you to go faster! Are you ready?
Next up is 8 basic jumps into 8 double jumps. You’ll need some skill for this one and the ability to go high – as in pick up those legs and feet. Do not worry. As you progress you will get more skilled at doing these moves. Don’t expect to conquer on your first try! This is tough.
Next up Shaun shows you how to contact the ground properly. He shows you how to jump a little higher and actually expend less energy. Tap the ground and lift your toes baby! If you have bad knees or problems with your feet, this is definitely not the workout for you!
Then you so a slightly different Kangaroo jump! It’s more of a slap and go. I went through this workout one time and that’s it. I have previously injured ligaments in my foot so it’s not good for me to do.
There is a fun agility sequence and you have to it at Shaun’s pace, not yours. Did I say fun? It’s all a matter of perspective. You’ll use the ladder and jump in, out, split and lunge moves. Easy? No way!
The next sequence uses the agility ladder and you jump with your feet together in many different moves. It’s all about control and swift feet! There are some cool balancing moves too that explode into fast running. And the pike exercises will really get your upper body in gear and build the muscles in your shoulders and abs.
Basically the Insanity Asylum 2 Pure Contact workout gets harder and harder my friends. Shaun has no mercy and takes everything a step further than you would normally do for yourself.
He finishes up with more jumping and a nice stretch. You’ll need it after you finish! Oh, the best part is this DVD is free when you purchase Asylum 2 via my link below!
