Here are three weight loss tips that simply do not work if you want to lose weight.
1 – Eat sugar-free or fat free food
Many of these foods are processed and full of chemicals. Instead of sugar, you get fat and sodium for example. And here is a fact that may surprise you. According to the 1:1:1 Diet, “Removing fat from a food makes it less satiating, so you ultimately may end up eating more.”
Healthy weight loss tip: Eat real food. Stay away from processed foods and eat smaller portions.
2 – Do Not Cheat!
If you set out to eat healthier and commit to never cheating, you may have a hard time sticking with it. One of the best weight loss tips is to eat in moderation. This means that it’s OK to eat a comfort food every now and then in a small portion. Just don’t do it all the time!
Healthy weight loss tip: Eat healthy the majority of the time. It’s ok to eat something not on the list if you do it occasionally and in moderation.
3 – Don’t snack.
If I listened to this advice, I would have zero energy! If you only eat 3 square meals a day and nothing inbetween, you risk your blood sugar dropping. Then your energy crashes and lethargy sets in. This leads to eating even more when it’s meal time.
Health weight loss tip: Eat healthy snacks in-between meals. Choose wisely from foods like apples with peanut butter, veggies or nuts. This will satisfy mid-day hunger and keep your blood sugar from crashing.
