I keep hearing about the Les Mills Rep Effect but was not sure exactly what it was. It’s a catchy phrase, don’t you agree? When Les Mills International created their popular BodyPump classes, they were and still are based on high repetitions for maximum results.
When I say high repetitions I am not talking about 15 to 20 reps! No way. We are talking more like 70 to 100 repetitions for each body part. That means after the workout, you will have done about 800 reps altogether! Can you imagine yourself doing that? With the “Les Mills Rep Effect”, you can be assured that you will be burning calories like crazy and fatiguing your muscles.
Does the Les Mills Rep Effect Really Work for Weight Loss
Low weights and high repetitions can get you in shape fast and burn calories for hours after you finish the workout. This all leads to weight loss for you! Are you tired just thinking about how you will knock out 800 or so reps? Don’t worry. The workout is so much fun you won’t be thinking about how much you are doing.
Between the great music and instructors, it’s the one class (either at the gym or the home version) where I do not look at the clock wishing it was over.
The exercises are performed using barbells with light weights, that is how the Les Mills Rep Effect works!
All the moves are done in a particular order for the best results. After I started doing Pump, it was hard for me to go back to regular old weight training. It was soooo boring! I stuck with this and got great results in my first 30 days. Toned arms, legs and back along with improved cardio.
There you go. Does the Les Mills Rep Effect really work? You bet! Best workout I ever did.
