Ways to Beat the Afternoon Slump

fight the afternoon slumpDo you find yourself in that afternoon slump after lunch? You know what I am talking about! You get so tired you can hardly do anything!

If all you can think about is having a nice nap at your desk, beating the afternoon slump will definitely be a plus for you.

Think about how different your life will be if you can have incredible energy, feel amazing, and not even think about taking a nap on your keyboard!

The afternoon slump is experienced by millions of Americas every day! In fact, I used to be one of them. Life is better now that that mid-afternoon slump is not even a thought anymore.

No More Afternoon Slump Feeling

If midday fatigue has got you down, I have a few tips for you to beat it. The afternoon slump is no fun at all. Here you go:

  • Exercise for energy – Getting some exercise can help rid you of that afternoon slump and lethargy. If can give you the energy you need to get you through the afternoon. You don’t have to any super cardio workouts like T25, you can just go for a walk. A brisk walk for even 20 or 30 minutes will get your blood pumping and keep you energized later in the day.
  • What’s for Lunch? – Have you ever noticed that some foods make you feel tired? Don’t eat those at lunch – you’ll certainly bring on the afternoon slump! If you are eating foods like pastas or burgers and fries, then sleep will be your friend. Eat light and healthy. Also, eat more frequently. Instead of 3 big meals a day, try 3 light meals and 2 snacks.
  • Get quality Sleep – Remember when you were twenty and could easily live off of a few hours of sleep? Those days are gone. It’s important to get a quality 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night. Not only does it lower your stress levels, but helps your muscles rebuild if you’ve worked out and helps to combat the afternoon slump. Won’t it be nice to be clear headed and feel great?
