Your life is busy, right? It’s hard to make time for that workout. When you don’t, you are not doing yourself any favors. You can still exercise with a busy schedule. Whether your work schedule is too much or your kids keep you on your toes all day, here are a few easy ways to make time for fitness.
You must make a conscience effort to do it or it never happens. Look at this way, if you make even a little time to “exercise with a busy schedule”, you will have more energy, lose weight and be in a better mood! Would that make it worth it to you?
I am sure you are zapped of energy every day. The more you don’t exercise the worse that gets!
Exercise with a Busy Schedule and Lose Weight
Even if you don’t have that full hour per day for fitness, you can still incorporate some activity into your busy day. Sometimes it’s a Catch 22!
You are too tired to workout due to all the stuff you have to get done in a day. On the other hand, if you do workout, you’ll have more energy to get all that stuff done. See how that works? Take a look at three simple ways to exercise with a busy schedule:
- Exercise while on errands: Instead of driving to the store, find one that you can walk to. If you have a child, get a wagon or the stroller so you can easily carry a light package or two back. Your child might appreciate being in the outdoors too instead of strapped into a carseat. If you must drive to the store, park as far away as possible from the entrance. It may not seem like much, but you will be getting more exercise than if you park in front of the entrance.
- Double up on your TV time: Do you watch a lot of TV? Hmmm. Think about how many hours a day or week you spend doing that. Instead of vegging out on the sofa, take to the floor. Learn some moves that you can do for 30 minutes while you enjoy your television programs and movies. There are lots of yoga moves, push-ups, leg-lifts, core work and stretches to get you on the way to looking good!
- Lunch Time Walk. Are you one of those people that sit at your cubicle during lunch to do more work? Take a break! Did you know that you can be more productive and energized for the afternoon if you get some activity in? You can burn calories and boost your metabolism with just a 20-minute walk. Take along a co-worker for some networking time!
Very simple but effective ideas. I like to take your last point a little further. Every hour, I take a little mini-break and I move for a couple of minutes. It’s nothing hectic but it breaks the monotony and it is a little extra exercise.
